Xiaomi Tag Bluetooth Smart Tracker White – (1 Pack)

Keys, wallet, backpack, check-in bag — attach a Xiaomi Tag and stop retracing your steps. It works with Apple Find My or Google Find Hub, rings out loud when your item is nearby, and shows you where it was last seen when it isn’t.

• Shows last-seen location on a map, updated by passing phones on your network

Everything you own, easier to find

We have all done it. Keys down on an unfamiliar counter, wallet left in a jacket, the laptop bag that was definitely in the boot. The Xiaomi Tag is a small, 10 g Bluetooth finder that clips onto the things you misplace most — keys, wallets, handbags, backpacks, camera bags, remotes and check-in luggage — so finding them takes seconds instead of an afternoon.

How the Xiaomi Tag finds your things

When your item is close by, open the app and ring the Tag’s built-in buzzer, then follow the sound. When it isn’t, the Tag’s encrypted Bluetooth signal is picked up by passing phones on your chosen finding network, which quietly update its position on your map.

That makes it very good at answering “where did I last have it” — the coffee shop, the gym, the seat pocket on the flight. The Xiaomi Tag is a Bluetooth item finder rather than a GPS tracker, so it shows you where something was last seen instead of streaming a live position. It is the right tool for everyday belongings, and location updates are quickest in busy places where plenty of phones pass by.

Your choice of the world’s two biggest finding networks

Most trackers lock you into one ecosystem. The Xiaomi Tag doesn’t. During setup you choose Apple Find My or Google Find Hub, and the Tag then draws on the millions of devices already on that network to report back. Apple users get the network built into every iPhone and iPad; Android users get Find Hub, which reaches Android 9 devices and later — a genuine advantage in South Africa, where Android dominates. The two networks operate independently, so you pick one at setup rather than running both.

Built to be forgotten about

Attach it once and leave it. The keyring loop is moulded into the body, so there is no separate holder to buy. IP67 dust and water resistance handles rain, spills and a soaking, and at 7.2 mm thin it disappears into a bag or pocket. The replaceable CR2032 button cell runs for over a year, and when it does run low, you swap it in seconds rather than replacing the whole Tag.

Privacy that works both ways

Location data is end-to-end encrypted and visible only to you and the people you choose to share with through Family & Friend Sharing. The Tag also supports unwanted-tracking alerts through Apple and Google’s safety systems, so if an unknown Tag travels with someone, their phone lets them know. Mark an item as lost and a finder can get your contact details — by tapping the Tag with NFC on Apple Find My, or through a Find Hub prompt on Android.

FAQ’s

Is the Xiaomi Tag a GPS tracker?
No. It is a Bluetooth item finder. Instead of a GPS chip, it uses a secure Bluetooth signal that nearby phones on Apple Find My or Google Find Hub pick up and report back, showing you where your item was last seen. For live tracking of a vehicle or a pet, you need a dedicated GPS and cellular tracker.

Does it work with an Android phone that isn’t a Xiaomi?
Yes. Any phone running Android 9 or later can use the Xiaomi Tag through Google Find Hub.

Can I use it to recover a stolen bag or car?
It isn’t built for that. A Tag shows a last-seen location, which is unlikely to keep up with something being moved quickly. Use it for the everyday items you misplace, and a purpose-built tracking service for theft recovery.

Will it work in my bag on a flight?
Yes, and it is one of the most popular uses. Airports are dense with phones, so a checked bag usually reports back reliably at both ends of a trip.

Can I use both Apple Find My and Google Find Hub?
You choose one network when you set the Tag up. The two networks work independently of one another.

How long does the battery last?
Over a year in typical use. It takes a standard CR2032 button cell, available almost anywhere, so replacing it is quick and cheap.
